About

Brenda is originally from Osmond, Nebraska, a rural community in Northeastern Nebraska. Brenda’s parents, Rod & Janet Ronspies, live in Osmond where they manage the family farm, and her brother Scott, is a Kinesiology Professor at Eastern Illinois University. Brenda attended Osmond Community School where she was active in basketball, volleyball, and dance/cheer. Upon completing high school, Brenda attended Northeast Community College and Wayne State College, earning degrees in paralegal studies and business, respectively. While taking classes, Brenda was also a team leader of The Buckle for many years.

Prior to joining Husker Law, Brenda was an advanced certified paralegal for Marks Clare & Richards. Currently at Husker Law, Brenda is an advanced certified paralegal and brings over 20 years of experience to our team. Brenda assists lawyers at Husker Law throughout all phases of a client’s case including drafting correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and trial work. Financial Disclosures and Discovery can be one of the most tedious and frustrating steps for a client in any family law case, and she works diligently with each client to guide them through the various steps and simplify the process. There is no substitute for experience, and that is just what Brenda brings to our clients and our team. In addition, Brenda is an active member of the Nebraska Paralegal Association.

When not at the law firm, Brenda enjoys spending time with her family, pets, and friends. You can find her relaxing in the sun by the pool, vacationing in the Black Hills or Florida, or going for a walk around the lake near her home. Brenda enjoys watching sports and her favorite team is the Kansas City Chiefs. When not watching the Chiefs, you can find also find her at various sporting events watching her son Braxton.
